Hudson Fl’s Budget-Friendly Cleaning Services 2023
“Brief History About Hudson Fl”
Located in Pasco County, Hudson is a suburb of Tampa with a population of 11,230. Living in Hudson offers residents a charming, sparse suburban feel and many of the locals are proud homeowners. But don’t let its suburban charm fool you, Hudson is full of history and excitement!
It all started in 1878 when Isaac Hudson moved his family to the uninhabited brush of coastal Pasco County and allowed a post office to be established in his home. The town experienced growth in the early 20th century when the Fivay Company began cutting lumber and shipping it by rail to Tampa. However, when the company went out of business in 1912, the town stagnated, with people turning to the sea or moving away. By the 1930s to 1950s, shrimping and fishing employed about half of the working men in the area.
But Hudson wasn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet! In 1950, W.L. Hendry came with his sons from Tampa and began digging inlets from the coast around Hudson Springs. Using the fill, he created higher ground to put a few houses on, which was to become the Port of Hudson neighborhood. In the 1980s, people began building larger homes along the canals, and while its older waterfront is reviving, large residential developments are spreading inland.
And let’s not forget about the gem of Hudson, Bayonet Point Medical Center! Founded in 1981, it was the first hospital to be built in North West Pasco County and serves residents in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties.
So, you see, life in Hudson is not just about being a suburb of Tampa. It’s about being part of a community that has a rich history, a revival spirit, and a commitment to providing top-notch medical care. And as a conservative-leaning, retiree-friendly town, Hudson is the perfect place for an adventurous spirit like yours to call home.
It’s a beautiful town with a good variety of real estate options. It has a rural vibe to it, but also has some good entertainment venues. I’ve lived in Trinity and found that area to be too congested and too fast paced.Current Resident – Niche
A retirement community with all the good places in Florida. Hudson is fast paced location with 80 % of the population in a hurry and 20 % slow paced almost too old to be driving. The main highways and arteries are race tracks but they are as efficient as they can be under the constraints imposed.
Excellent medical facilities and medical support.
You can live comfortable, and safe if you are of sound mind, good health and good common sense.Current Resident – Niche
